Make Bordeaux Travel Fun
If you are considering going to France on your next vacation, you might consider passing Paris up for Bordeaux. Why? Well, why not? Bordeaux travel can be so much more fun than Paris. No, no insanity here. While Paris is known for its attractions, fashion and worldly culture, Bordeaux is known for its wine. But Bordeaux has a lot more to offer to its visitors.
Okay, Bordeaux travel will see you on a wine tour. At least one. That’s what Bordeaux is known for so might as well get it out of the way. Go on a wine tour. See a winery. Anything you want but make sure that you experience the wine country on your Bordeaux travel. If you don’t you will definitely regret it.
Speaking of tours, you know that on your Bordeaux travel, you can take in a Gourmet tour. It’s a little different than what it sounds like actually. On your gourmet tour, which lasts as little as three days to up to a week or so, you are provided a sports car in which to see the wonderful sights, and your fill of wine and excellent food. Have you ever heard of a tour offering this kind of service to any of its patrons? And, of course, it is considered one of the best tours around. And if you’re interested in learning about wine, you can attend a three day class on wine tasting at the Bordeaux Wine School.
Now that you’ve had your fill on the wine attractions of Bordeaux, maybe you’re interested in hearing about some of the other wonderful things to see and do on your Bordeaux travel. Such as the Grand Theater which is a beautiful opera house that serves up some of the best theatrical performances in the region. If wine and theater aren’t your thing, then you might check out Musee des Beaux whose art collection includes some seventeenth century Dutch, Italian and Flemish pieces. Talk about an interesting array of art.
If you’d like to take in some history and architecture while you enjoy your Bordeaux travel, then you won’t be disappointed. You should definitely see the Notre Dame Church, St. Andre Cathedral, the Cathedrale St. Pierre and the Quinconces Esplanade. Of course, if you decide you’d like a little down time from all the sights you can relax while you do a little shopping at the Place Parlement and sit and take a load off at one of the outdoor cafes as well.
Don’t forget to take in some of the nightlife on your Bordeaux travel. Some of the more popular and fun places to go for a little music and dancing include Le Plana and Aviatic and there’s also a fun pub called Le Connemara.
Bordeaux may not be Paris, it is a wonderful alternative to the busy city. It’s the perfect getaway for anyone that loves a little wine, cheese and relaxation.
